Louisville Visitors Center
This project totaled 2,950 sq. ft.
The Future is Bright
This new space is much more than a typical visitor information center. The 2,950 sq. ft. facility was totally reconfigured, renovated and transformed into a state-of-the-art, high-tech facility that offers a unique experience.
Memorable features include a “cloud” that floats from the ceiling of the center displaying various pronunciations of the word “Louisville,” and two self-serve kiosks that allow guests to create and send electronic postcards to family and friends back home.
Because there were so many different agencies, organizations, and vested parties involved in this project, Schaefer’s project Manager, Chuck Rassenfoss, established a weekly status meeting in which all parties gathered to discuss various issues and challenges. A tremendous amount of coordination and organization was necessary in order for things to go smoothly, which happened under Chuck’s watchful eye. The Schaefer crew, once again, delivered on time and on budget.
