Janet Lively, CPSM

Vice President, Marketing & Business Development

Janet Lively has more than 25 years of business development, client relationship and marketing experience which contributes to her style – she fuses practical experience with a strategic, “big picture” approach to provide tangible value to clients and partners. Her career background spans the industries of Architecture, Engineering, Multi-family & Residential Real Estate Development and Management. Early in her career, she worked for nearly a decade with prominent Louisville real estate developers where her roles included Resident Services for three major residential developments, apartment leasing, and country club membership marketing for an Arnold Palmer designed course.

For a decade, as the Vice President of a nationally practicing architectural firm, Janet lead a department of business development, marketing and graphic designers, and was responsible for all internal and external marketing and Business Development functions, including client championing, strategy, budget and implementation. Before joining Schaefer, she used her skills with an Energy Services Business with a focus on turnkey energy efficiency project for their healthcare and commercial vertical markets.

Janet is on the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Derby Festival, Norton Healthcare Foundation, and the GLI Health Enterprises Network. She is on the Facilities Committee for the Center for Women & Families, is Chair of the American Heart Association, Hard Hats with Heart Committee, and is on the Twisted Pink Masquerade Gala Committee. Human causes closest to her heart are ending the cycle of domestic violence and metastatic breast cancer, so she donates time and financial support to the Center for Women & Families  and Twisted Pink. She likes to stay active and healthy by training for and running road races and going to the gym to remain fit. Outside of Schaefer she loves spending time with close friends and family, golfing, going to galas, concerts and athletic events, and cooking. She’s a highly “social animal” and enjoys staying busy both professionally and personally.
