Like many Schaefer team members, in construction for over 34 years, George has worked his way up from the bottom starting as a labor to framing and hanging drywall to finish work. He was later given an opportunity to manage projects from new residential and commercial builds to high-end renovations in multifamily high-rise and managing work on the new Homeland Security Building in Washington D.C. As a former carpentry/construction instructor for 7 years he always enjoyed mentoring and molding young minds, providing the foundation needed to succeed.
His project experience also includes aging care facilities, and loan processing centers for clients like ManorCare, Arden Court, InstaLoan, and Orlando Neighborhood Improvement Corporation.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management from Indiana University -Pennsylvania and a volunteer fireman for 32 years holding positions from Lieutenant to Chief, and was a former entrepreneur.
For fun, as an inventor, he has 2 inventions with patents pending, wrote a children’s book which is in the process of being animated. In his free time he enjoys riding his motorcycle, traveling, working around the yard and spending time with his two kids and beautiful new grandson.
